Birthday Treats

On May 16th, I turned 18 which is exciting and daunting all at the same time! I had an amazing day and I was completely spoilt. I'm so grateful to have such a lovely family and friends that treated me with gorgeous presents, sweet text messages and good memories.

My mum had brought a photo album and filled it with photos starting from scan pictures and ending with recent photos of me. It's crazy seeing how much I've grown and changed over the years!

This beautiful Tiffany bracelet was a present from one of my aunties. The little dog is seriously cute.

This matching necklace and bracelet was from my mum. I love it - she knows me too well!

My gorgeous little sister thought it would be funny to trick me with a big cardboard box as my present, and inside was this sheet of paper. I cried! It was so unexpected and any one that knows me, knows how much I love Rihanna. I really can't wait!

After opening all my presents, I headed off into London with my mum and we spent the day shopping, staring in amazement at the prices in Harrods, and being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people. Going from a small town to busy London is quite an experience! I wish I'd taken photos during the day but I was too excited and forgot (doh!) I had the best day and was glad I could share it with my mum.

This is what I wore to my family meal. I loved spending time with all my family, especially my funny little cousins as it's scary seeing how much they've grown. The food itself was so good - I'm pretty picky when it comes to food but I ate every last bit.
It can safely be said that this week I have been a very full, very spoilt and very happy girl.

Aaand relax ...

It is May and to me, May is the month of birthdays. I have been super excited for my birthday as it's a big one - my 18th! I must have shown the countdown on my phone to at least three people on a daily basis. Other than that I've been relaxing, attempting to revise and chomping my way through Monster Munch at 2am.

Cute PJ's, multiple cups of tea, and a catchup on Made in Chelsea. I love a good lazy day!

The most adorable pug pillow has now been given a home on my bed. Someone restrain me from Primark's home section. Is three pug pillows too much?

Jumping on the crop top bandwagon and loving it so far. Now just waiting for the sun to make an appearance so I can dare to bare the midriff some more.

Motel's digital prints are always a winner in my eyes. I usually keep my outfit simple, and this skirt is an easy way of adding an interesting dynamic. Slowly but surely I am building my collection and I might, jus might, have my bank card ready and waiting.

My birthdays been and gone now (not good!) but I had a really lovely day (a post will be up soonish). I better get started on all the revision I've been putting off as my exams are just around the corner. Procrastinating gets you no where, kids.

The Grammys 2013 | My Best Dressed List

1. Jennifer Lopez wearing Anthony Vaccarello
2. Rihanna wearing Azzedine Alaia
3. Kelly Osbourne wearing Paule Ka

I love these dresses! All of them are simple yet they fall in all the right places and accentuate all their best features. Rihanna has definitely caught the media's eye and mine too.. I'm in the process of creating a detailed post on her outfits throughout the entire evening so keep your eyes pealed for that.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark and Deep Brown

This is just a quick mini review on something that has been a lifesaver for me these past few weeks. I hate to admit it but I am very lazy when it comes to washing my hair, so I am guilty of trying to delay the process as much as possible. Don't get me wrong, I don't leave the house with a greasy mess on the top of my head - I just don't wash it as often as most! I wash my hair around 2 or 3 times a week. I know some of you are probably feeling slightly grossed out at the thought of leaving your hair unwashed for that long but it works for me. I first tried a dry shampoo a few years ago and it left me with grey hair. I never dared try another until now and I have been pleasantly surprised. It instantly refreshes my hair, gives it some umpf, adds shine and the biggest plus of all.. not a grey streak in sight.

Style Crush #4 - Lara Bingle

Lately, I have loved watching 'Being Lara Bingle' and I am starting to have a slight girl crush on her. Her Australian accent, glowing skin and extensive wardrobe have all got me rather jealous. Not to mention her pearly whites, her tan, her make-up artist who's also her gay best friend, her fashion week invites, her down to earth manager/best friend, her gorgeous boyfriend ... am I starting to sound obsessive yet?...

After watching three episodes in a row this afternoon, I knew I had to make this blog post. I would happily wear all the above outfits. I especially want to get my hands on a pair of pleather trousers and an Alexander Wang Rocco bag. Although, the Rocco might have to be one of Ebay's cheaper offerings that every blogger and their dog has. Who says I'm not high class?
